Our Story
Chrome Hearts began its operations in 1988 out of a tiny workshop in L.A. Richard Stark is a motorcyclist who enjoys leather, and metalwork, and he was making some silver art that matched his style. Along with his wife Laurie Lynn Stark, and partner John Bowman, the brand evolved from a local studio to becoming a globally renowned luxury brand.
It started with hand-crafted leather riding gear and sterling silver rings, and was to become a complete lifestyle brand. To this day, Chrome Hearts sells clothing, eyewear, jewelry and accessories, all infused with the same rebellious spirit and attention to detail of those first workshop day outfits.
What Drives Us
All of our products maintain our original philosophy of Chrome Hearts: craftsmanship, rather than mass production. Sterling silver is hand cast and hand finished. Heavyweight fabrics are used on clothing to hold up after washing. The Gothic crosses, daggers and fleur-de-lis motifs are not "grave" afterthoughts. They form an integral part of the construction itself.
